Research can shine a light on the dark areas of your company, industry and yes, your competition. Research can uncover trends and help you identify new markets. Good research combines the results with your industry expertise.

3. What's so special about research? It's easy, right?
Research is asking a question and getting an answer. Most of the time a simple question can be answered simply. For example, if you’re looking for an airline ticket or for the weather in Hawaii, it’s pretty easy to get an answer.
4. Ok, well Research can't be Complex, can it?
Information Research is the technical term for complex research. An information researcher has hundreds of tools at his disposal-and he knows how to use them. An Information Researcher knows how to frame the question, use the technology to solve the question and knows who to ask.
A researcher’s goal is to provide information so that the interested individuals can fully solve the problems at hand.
5. Everything I need to know is online.
That’s a nice sentiment. Sadly, it’s not true. Information and the process of gathering information occurs across numerous mediums. Good research means knowing what to ask, who to ask and how to ask the right questions.
